Sharing a Lifelong Love of Music
Music has always been at the heart of Liz Wojtal's story. What began with leading a hometown church folk group in Verona, New Jersey, grew into a lifelong passion for songwriting, performing, and connecting with audiences through music.
Today, Liz Wojtal & Next of Kin bring that passion to live performances throughout the New York Tri-State Area. Built around Liz and her family and extended family of musicians, Next of Kin is a seasoned group with a sound rooted in classic rock, original music, and traditional Irish and folk influences.
With more than 15 years of performing experience as a group, Liz and Next of Kin continue to share the music they love with audiences at celebrations, private events, festivals, bars, pubs, and other gatherings.
Meet Liz Wojtal
Liz Wojtal is a veteran musician, singer, and songwriter whose musical influences began taking shape early in life. As the youngest of 12 children, Liz grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of music that helped inspire her own creative voice.
Her influences include celebrated artists such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, The Eagles, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Carole King. Their influence can be felt in Liz's heartfelt approach to songwriting and her appreciation for meaningful melodies and memorable performances.
Before becoming the lead vocalist of Next of Kin, Liz began writing her own music and developing her career as a performer. She has released two albums of original work, Missing Peace in 1999 and Better Days in 2002. She is currently working on her third album with Next of Kin.

A History of Live Performances
Over the years, Liz Wojtal & Next of Kin have performed at notable venues throughout the New York area, including The Bitter End, The Back Fence, and the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
One memorable performance at the Stone Pony included opening for the legendary 1960s group Vanilla Fudge. In 2008, Liz Wojtal & Next of Kin also received the “Excellence in Performance” Award from COASHI, the Staten Island Council on the Arts and Humanities.
These experiences are part of a musical journey built around performing live and creating a genuine connection with an audience.
